THE REPTILE STRIKES

By Emanuel, Age 11

Prologue

If I hadn’t seen it for myself, I wouldn’t have believed it. It was a giant monster about 50 feet long and 50 feet wide. It had giant webbed claws and a massive tail. This is my story of how I found this giant, amazing, and terrifying creature.

Chapter 1

The Terrible Dream

No!!! I’m in the ocean and I must get out! There’s a giant squid in the water and it’s going to eat me. AAAAAAAA!!!

            “Danny….Danny,” whispered my mother.

            “What?” I mumbled. “Mom, it’s 6:20 a.m.” I murmured.

“Danny, you were tossing and turning, “ said my mom with a chuckle.

“Mom, I has a bad dream, a nightmare. I was in the water and there was a giant squid and …”

“Shhhh, Danny, I think you have a fever. Let me check your temperature.”

“Why? I’m sure I don’t have a fever, “ I said, pushing away the thermometer my mom was holding. My mom shoved the thermometer in my ear.

“Well, Danny, you are right about this; you don’t have a  fever. Your temperature is 98.1,” my mom stated. “Danny, Dad and I are going to take a walk. Do you want to come?” asked my mom.

“Sure,” I replied, putting on my clothes.
