Response to Intervention (RTI) is a model designed to diagnose learning disabilities, provide intervention to children experiencing learning difficulties, and reduce the number of children incorrectly labeled as learning disabled.

Schools using the RTI model provide one or more research-based, intensive instructional interventions with ongoing assessments to monitor how students respond to the intervention.
